The E Line is the direct rail option named by the Coliseum, with two stations serving the venue. Both Expo Park/USC and Expo/Vermont are less than a five-minute walk from the entrance gates.

From Expo Park/USC Station, walk west on Exposition Boulevard, turn left into Exposition Park and continue through the park. Turn left onto Exposition Park Drive for the final stretch to the entrance.

Metro provides service to nearby stops on the J Line at 37th St/USC and on bus lines 40, 81, 102 and 204. Line 81 stops at MLK Jr. Boulevard and Figueroa; line 102 at Figueroa and Exposition; and lines 102 and 204 at Vermont and Exposition.

Metro’s regular fare is $1.75 one way or $3.50 round trip, and includes two hours of unlimited transfers. Children under six ride free with an adult. Fares and service details can change, so check the official site before you go.

Entry policies and accessibility

Entry policies and accessibility

The Coliseum allows one clear bag in either of two formats: a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, or a one-gallon clear plastic storage bag. You may also carry a small, hand-size clutch.

All approved bags are subject to inspection, and guests and belongings undergo metal-detector screening. Medically necessary items may be allowed after inspection.

Gate 29 is the designated ADA entrance. Every gate has a priority line for guests with mobility impairments until 30 minutes before an event starts. Accessible-services booths are at Section 109A, Gate 23 and Gate 29.

Metro buses and rail stations are ADA accessible, with elevators, ramps, priority seating and boarding assistance available. Accessible parking spaces in Exposition Park are subject to availability on arrival and cannot be reserved in advance.

Parking and public transport

Parking and public transport

Public parking in Exposition Park is limited. For USC games and most events, parking is permit-only, and there are no cash lots in the park. For other events, public parking can sell out quickly and rates vary by event; park entrances are at MLK and Hoover, and at 39th and Figueroa.

USC campus parking is about a ten-minute walk from the Coliseum. Garages do not accept oversized vehicles such as tall vans, large SUVs, RVs and buses because of height restrictions.

For accessible drop-off and pick-up, use Exposition Park Drive, entered from South Figueroa at West 39th Street. After an event, pick-up may be delayed 45–60 minutes until streets reopen.

Nearby places to visit before or after

Exposition Park’s museum options include the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.

The park also includes the California African American Museum, with its collections and visitor information covered in a guide to visiting the museum.

Exposition Park is the setting for these museums as well as the Coliseum.

If you’re staying at a motel in South Central Los Angeles, the Coliseum is about a seven-minute drive away.
